On January 22, 2026, Beijing time, Australian mining company Fortescue released its operational report for the fourth quarter of 2025 (Q2 of the 2026 Australian fiscal year). The report showed: In terms of production: Fortescue’s iron ore output in the fourth quarter reached 49.8 million tons, down 2% quarter-on-quarter and 2% year-on-year. In terms of shipments: Fortescue’s iron ore shipments in the fourth quarter totaled 50.5 million tons, up 1% quarter-on-quarter and 2% year-on-year. Financially, Fortescue’s C1 cash cost for the fourth quarter was US$19.10 per wet ton (based on Pilbara hematite), up 5% quarter-on-quarter and 5% year-on-year. In addition, Fortescue maintained its shipment guidance target for the 2026 fiscal year at 195–205 million tons, and its C1 cost target remained unchanged at US$17.5–18.5 per wet ton (based on Pilbara hematite).
